THINGS I'VE LEARNED ALONG THE WAY

It is fair to say, this path of mine has not been direct. I've been around, doing things because they were interesting.

After earning a BFA in sculpture, travel abroad led me to portrait drawing in the streets of Italy. In addition to learning the language, that venture set me on a period of commission portrait painting.

I had always been pulled toward the craft of representational oil painting, so I went all in to see if I could figure it out. That was great fun.
