Your first idea is not good enough

I recently spoke with some folks working to improve kitchen appliances. Of course, it makes me think, what I might do with these ubiquitous things cluttering our countertops.

To get started I like to sketch without being too critical. These early sketches tend to be a process of exposing accumulated bias and ignorance.

When I was younger I used to get attached to early drawings. Now I see them as an enjoyable moment when I am simply washing away biases. They are almost always throwaways. The Blender I've sketched up is an ok start but check out that goofy Espresso Maker my brain dumped out!

Moving on to better things now.
